AVX's TPM series tantalum capacitors

Boosting the range of voltage ratings and capacitance values, AVX Corp. targets next-generation processors with the TPM series of tantalum capacitors. These multi-anode capacitors also offer ultra-low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and high ripple current.

The TPM series capacitors are now available with a rated voltage of 50V, which offer a capacitance of up to 22μF and an ESR of 75 milliohms maximum. Low-voltage versions are available down to 2.5V with a capacitance value of 1,500μF and an ESR of 12 milliohms. Suitable for process filtering, these capacitors are available in a standard E case size and are RoHS compliant.

Pricing for a 22μF device typically starts at Rs.177 ($4) in quantities of 1,000. Delivery is eight to 12 weeks.
